I am aware that PrecisionX does not make permanent overclock settings and they are just set in software, so I am guessing I don't need to worry about the cards still being overclocked when I sell them right?Īs for my system though, would just simply uninstalling EVGA Precision X16 also remove all the overclock settings it applies on Windows boot, or do I need to take additional steps to undo them? It there any reset somewhere that just undoes everything and makes it use everything at stock again/remove all overclock settings on boot before I uninstall it? I basically want to completely wipe out the app and any and all of it's settings, and how to do that if just a simple uninstall will not be enough. Other than listed above there us no reason to run Precision X, aside from monitoring GPU temperature and speed easily.Going to be upgrading to a newer card and selling off my old ones, so I want to undo all overclocking settings both to sell them off and so they don't conflict with my new card, as well as wipe out all driver settings and start over. Oh and in Nvidia control panel you can set performance to maximum under power management (this is *not the same as Kboost).
Nvidia SLI automatically matches them, but defaults to the slower core clock. But using Afterburner I can overclock the slower one to match the base/boost of the faster one. I have an SLI toaster, but the GPUs aren't matched. Then on Windows in power management you need to set your processor manually to run 100% balls out so you don't lose points while the multiplier ramps up. To absolutely max out your 3dMarks, you'll want to turn on kboost then kill Precision (instructions are on Internet) then load Afterburner and load your overclock. Precision is garbage compared to MSI Afterburner however, which has done nice graphs / performance monitoring features.Īs for your overclock, that's not much of an achievement. You should OC your cards for benchmarking, but there is no need beyond that.
